JAIL MAIL: PRISONS AND PARLIAMENT - BUDGET SESSION 2018

This newsletter is in continuation of our earlier Jail Mail (view here) on questions asked in the 2017-18 Winter Session of the Parliament. You may recollect that in that session, which was held in July-August 2017, the Members of Parliament asked 16 questions relating to prisons and prisoners. The budget session of parliament was held from 29th January 2018 to 06th April 2018 and saw 45 questions on prisons which ranged from prison conditions, prison infrastructure, prison deaths, vulnerable groups in prison, access to legal aid and Indians in foreign prisons.
