Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting

What We do

Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting

Since 1971, 23 CHOGM meetings have been held in 18 countries. The venue of each meeting is announced well before hand; and the head of state of the host country becomes the Chair until the next meeting.

CHRI’s International Advisory Commission makes a report on a specific thematic area of Human Rights concern to the biennial Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. In the lead up, CHRI takes up advocacy initiatives to build support for the subject of the report.
