At present, we work on both country specific as well as regional levels. On a regional level, we work in South Asia and East Africa, and our presence in Ghana gives us space in West Africa. We work specifically in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Fact finding missions

When faced with human rights emergencies or serious human rights situations in Commonwealth countries, CHRI organises fact finding missions to gather first hand information and evidence to put before Commonwealth bodies and the international community.

Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG)

CHRI makes regular submissions to CMAG drawing attention to breaches in Commonwealth values. CMAG was established in 1995 by the Commonwealth Heads of Government as part of the Millbrook Commonwealth Action Plan.
