The Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI)’s International Advocacy Programme (IAP) is seeking to recruit a consultant for a web-based study on the performance of South Asian countries at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC).

Position: Research Consultant (IAP)

Task Description

The main deliverables for the consultant would be:

  • A Briefing Paper on the Performance of South Asian countries at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in 2021
  • Infographics based on the research and findings

The Consultant would be responsible for the research, writing of the report, organising meetings to validate findings and finalisation of the report, in consultation with the IAP team. She/he would also be responsible for developing a series of infographics based on the research and findings, as well as dissemination of the report and the infographics.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s Degree in Law, Social Sciences or related fields with at least 2 years of research experience
  • Preference would be given to candidates with a working knowledge of the UNHRC and its mechanisms.
