CHRI's launch landmark report on Human Trafficking, Modern Slavery, and Child Exploitation in the Commonwealth


The Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI), launched its CHOGM report on Friday, 13th April, which set out recommendations through which governments and civil society could work towards ‘Sustainable Development Goal 8.7’ relating to the eradication of modern slavery.

The report concluded that while progress had been made since 2015, when 193 countries globally adopted the 2030 ‘Sustainable Development Agenda’ — including 17 Sustainable Development Goals — much remained to be done.
