Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI), a non-governmental organization, is seeking a qualified IT professional for the position of Information, Communication and Technology Officer for its IT related services in CHRI, New Delhi office.

The IT officer is expected to maintain the website and main internal servers, ensure the safety of the IT system and troubleshoot IT working infrastructure, work with other teams to upload social media content, documents/reports and programmes, ensure regular data backup and effective email management, upload media releases and newsletter and other responsibilities.

Other major responsibilities include

  1. Setting up network, workgroups, users, file management system, permissions, operating systems and software installation/up gradation
  2. Manage the IT Infrastructure such as Servers, Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Networks and other IT equipment.
  3. Providing first level troubleshooting and technical support to users regarding computer hardware, software, network maintenance and printer
  4. Maintaining inventory of hardware equipment, software and computer consumable and assisting in procurement of computer consumable and spare parts
  5. Dealing with the AMC providers of UPS, printer / photocopier, EPABX, Leased Line Connection and web space & domain providers
  6. Assist end user, system updates and monitoring which includes: Patch management, spyware removal and testing, virus checking, ensuring backup of data files, etc
  7. Manage the email server (onsite & remote) to ensure smoothly functioning of email service and coordination with ISP.
  8. Procurement and document the IT inventory and network
  9. Dealing with the AMC providers of Computer Hardware, UPS, printer / photocopier, EPABX, Leased Line Connection and web space & domain providers
  10. Installation of audio conferencing unit as and when required by staff to make conference calls

The selected candidate would need to work closely with the media and advocacy officer and heads of various programmes.

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications, knowledge and experience levels.
