Shehana Udat interns as a researcher for the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative. She leads on research into social media and freedom of expression. She holds an MA in Human Rights from University College London and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Nottingham. Shehana loves all things design and has a keen interest in Persian art which she practices in her spare time.

As research intern at CHRI, Minah Ahn is working on a project to look at how the lives of prisoners in the Caribbean can be improved using FOI legislation. Minah is currently an MA Candidate in the Understanding and Securing Human Rights program at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, School of Advanced Study. Previously, she completed her BA in Political Science and International Relations at the University of Toronto (Canada). In her free time, she enjoys yoga and playing the violin.
