Commonwealth Agencies

There are three Commonwealth agencies: the Commonwealth Secretariat, the Commonwealth Foundation and the Commonwealth of Learning. The Commonwealth Secretariat is the main body that implements the mandates from the Commonwealth meetings and as such is an important target for advocacy. Part of the Commonwealth Foundation's role is to assist civil society and facilitate involvement in official meetings and as such is an important partner for civil society groups seeking to have their voices heard in the Commonwealth system. The Commonwealth of Learning has a more narrow area of work, focusing on distance education.
