The 2005 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) was held
in Malta between the 25th and 27th November, 2005. The theme of
the meeting was 'Networking for Development'. To view the statements

The 2003 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) was held
in Abuja, Nigeria between the 5th and 8th December, 2003. The theme
of the meeting was 'Democracy and Development: Partnerships for
Peace and Prosperity'.
At the 2003 CHOGM in Abuja, Nigeria, the Heads
of Government issued a number of key statements, namely: the Abuja
Communique, the Aso Rock Declaration on Development and Democracy:
Partnership for Peace and Prosperity and the Aso Rock Statement

2005 Commonwealth Human Rights Forum: The
CHRF brought together human rights activists from across the Commonwealth
in Malta on 20-21 November 2005 for discussions around the theme
of “Networking for Human Rights”. For more information

2005 Commonwealth People’s Forum: Organised by the Commonwealth
Foundation, this event included a diverse range of civil society
meetings and workshops around the theme of “Networking Commonwealth

2003 Commonwealth Human Rights Forum : This event organised
by the CHRI, the Legal Resources Consortium and the Nigerian Human
Rights Commission, and supported by the CIDA, the Commonwealth Foundation
and British Council brought together human rights organisations
from around the Commonwealth was held from 3-4 December in Abuja.

2003 Commonwealth People's Forum : This civil society event
was organised by the Commonwealth Foundation and was run from 1
- 7 December 2003 in Abuja Nigeria, with the theme of Citizens and
Governance. Like the People's Centres and People's Festivals at
past CHOGMs, it was an opportunity for civil society groups from
across the Commonwealth to showcase their work and get together
